What do I need to calculate my birth chart?
Your birth date, birth time and birthplace. Time matters most for the rising sign and houses — if you don't know it, we calculate a midday chart and honestly leave the rising sign and houses out rather than guessing them.
Is this birth chart calculator really free?
Yes — no sign-up and no payment. You get your Sun, Moon and rising signs, every planet placement, your houses and your element balance. A full written natal report ($24.99) is optional and unlocks from your free compatibility card.
How accurate is the calculation?
Planet longitudes are computed with our own engine built on NASA JPL DE421 ephemeris data. Against NASA/JPL Horizons the maximum measured error is 0.00003° — the same engine behind our paid reports.
How is a birth chart different from a sun sign?
Your sun sign is one placement — where the Sun was. A birth chart maps all ten planets, the rising sign and the twelve houses at your exact birth moment. Two people with the same sun sign can have very different charts.
